Injury Report
Jermaine Taylor (King's Bench SG) -Out 1-2 Weeks with Strained Abdomen-
"Yeah. Can I say something? Hey Wade. Wanna know why everyone hates the Heat? Because your "star player" had to have his own television special just to announce he was going to Miami. You guys had a pep-rally claiming it be EASY to beat everyone and win multiple championships. Your coach even likes to tell the media when you guys cry in the locker room. Everyone in the NBA is after you guys. And you asked for it. That's all I have to say."

Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I'm not mad at all that we lost. I mean, we ran with the Heat for three overtimes and only lost by two. Oh, and a heads up...we kept with them that long without the offense of Tyreke Evans or the defense of Jason Thompson. We would've won with them in this game."
LeBron James (Heat's Player Of The Game): "No no, there are no what if's. We won this game by outlasting them. We got our points when we needed them. I look forward to playing them again."

An Injured Kings Battle Heat In 3 Overtimes, But Still Gets Loss
The Kings, with Jason Thompson and Tyreke Evans gone along with Jermaine Taylor getting hurt early in the 2nd quater, managed to use their defensive skills and parimeter shooters to stick with the Heat during a LONG, 3 Overtime loss. A fantastic game, with plenty to show:
- Kings and Heat shot around 50% from the game, so offense wasn't the issue.
- Both teams got 8 blocks and around 13 turnovers, so defense wasn't an issue either.
- Heat did not get anything from deep, only 1/13 where the Kings got 16/35
- 12 fouls against the Kings and only 2 against the Heat.
- Heat managed 52 points in the paint with Kings only getting 26
- This game belonged to the Heat during the 4th, until Kings stepped up and got 2 blocks, 2 steals, and managed to draw the game to overtime.
- In overtime, where the game truely happend, Kings managed 2 blocks and 4 steals.
- Heat in OT got 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. They also shot 16% better than the Kings, which gave them the lead.
- Jameer Nelson (PG) - Decent game from the man at the point who was left to lead the team without Tyreke. 6-15, a dismal 3-9 from deep. He did manage a double-double, 15 points and 17 assists, with 3 steals.
- Jermaine Taylor (SG) - Even though he got hurt, he produced well. 4-5 with a perfect 3-3 from deep. 11 points.
- James Harden (SG) - Came in for Taylor after the injury. A great 6-15 with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and a great 2 blocks!
- Omri Casspi (SF) - This man continues to prove his worth to the team. 38 points with 6-14 from deep, 16-27 overall, and 6 rebounds!
- DeMarcus Cousins (PF) - He also stepped it up. 18 points, 8 rebounds, and a steal.
- Samuel Dalembert (C) - This man was all over the place today, and should arguably be in the starting lineup. He got 3 blocks, 3 steals, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 points.
- LeBron James had to carry the team. 14-22, only 0-2 from deep, and 29 points with 5 rebounds, a block, and two steals.
- Dwayne Wade could not get anything going. He did manage 28 points, but only 10-21 and 1-7 from deep. The 68% from the free-throw line knocked down all 7. He was, however, blocked 4 times in this game.
- Chris Bosh did stay in the game well. He got 3 blocks, and 16 points.
Heat are now (13-4)
Kings are now (11-10)

Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I am appalled at the NBA's inability to act after this game. No fines after the VERY last play of the match, no fines for the injury on Evans, and no recall of any of those terrible refs. I'm disappointed in Washington, the NBA, and my team. You can bet your a*# that we'll get revenge on the Wizards for this game.
Omri Casspi (King's Player Of The Game): "I just had the best game of my career, and the best game of this season of any player, and then this crap happened. Thanks Wizards."
John Wall (Wizard's Game Changer): "We did what we had to in order to win. I have no further comment."

An Enraged Kings Team Watches Evans Injury Lead To Wizards Win
This game was all Wizards after a horrific foul on Tyreke Evans, John Wall getting in the way of a layup and hitting Evans in the air, flipping him and forcing him on his back. Only a personal foul for Wall and a 2 week injury for Evans. However, Omri Casspi had the best game of anyone this season, bringing his team back into OT. Then, with the Kings down three in OT, with only 2 seconds, Omri Casspi gets the ball (shooting 12/24 from deep). As he goes up, Rashard Lewis shoulders Casspi, causing him to fall onto his back, the ball missing and the game ending. No call from the referees, but Evans and Cousins began to push Lewis, pleasantries being exchange. A new, heated rivalry has surely formed.
- Kings shot 52% compared to the Wizards 57%
- 46% from deep for the Kings.
- An outrageous 13 fouls against the Kings, and ONLY TWO against the Wizards.
- Wizards out blocked and stole from the Kings.
- Jameer Nelson (PG) - Had a season high 17 assists. However, only got 9 points and 5 rebounds.
- Jermaine Taylor (SG) - Managed 7 assists and 2 steals.
- Omri Casspi (SF) - PHENOMINAL PERFORMANCE FROM THIS PLAYER OF THE GAME. 18-32, 12-23 from deep. A career-high 48 points!!
- DeMarcus Cousins (PF) - Quiet game for him as well. 6 rebounds, and 1 block.
- Samuel Dalembert (C) - Other than his 3 blocks and 6 rebounds, Dalembert did nothing this game.
- Nick Young produced well for the Wizards. 10-20 with 25 points and a block.

Kings Bench Closes Out 4th Quater Over Hornets
What a game from Sacramento (I know, I always say that.) All around great play from the Kings, and the Hornets fell short from some key players they needed. Let's break down this game, and look out for a review on the fourth quater, which was only played by the King's bench (PG: Jeter, SG: Taylor, SF: Wright, PF: Greene, C: Dalembert)
- Both teams shot 51% from the field. Three pointers were what seperated them. 9 for Kings and 3 for Hornets.
- Kings couldn't crash the boards this game, out rebounded 30 to 21.
- Let's take a look at the FOURTH QUATER: Kings shot 62% over Hornets 43%. 9 assists to 4. 2 blocks. 10 points in the paint over the 6 from Hornets. They also got on the break 6 to 2. However, they were outscored 22 to 21 (close for them playing the starters of the hornets) and pushed them to the foul line 5 times.
- Jameer Nelson (PG) - Was quiet all game long. He didn't get his normal high-assist game either. 9 points, 5 assists, but did manage to get 3 steals.
- Omri Casspi (SG) - Slowly developing into a star player. 7-10 with 5-6 from deep. 19 points, and 3 assists.
- Tyreke Evans (SF) - FIRST GAME ALL SEASON Evans did not score more than 15 points. Only 9 from the star, with a block to his name. 3-10 shooting, 1-4 from deep. Cold night.
- Jason Thompson (PF) - An average defensive showing this game. 4 points, 2 steals, and a block.
- DeMarcus Cousins (C) - He must read this paper. The kid bounced back from a long slump. 15 points, 7-7 from the field!
- Samuel Dalembert (Bench C) - Arguably the best defender on the Kings roster. 2 blocks, 1 steal, 7 points.
- Eugene Jeter (Bench PG) - Got the team's highest assist total. 8 assists, 6 points.
- Chris Paul tried to carry his team. However, failed with only 5-12 shooting, 1-3 from deep. Managed a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists.
- Where was Trevor Ariza? 4-12, terrible 0-4 from deep. He still managed 13 points and 6 rebounds.

Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "Yes. We are a three-point shooting team now. After the beginning of the season where we couldn't buy a bucket from out there, we are now a team that shoots from out there to win. Our C and PF are defensive players and PG, SG, and SF need to be able to shoot out there. It wins games."
Omri Casspi (King's Player Of The Game): "I don't think they took me seriously all game. Even though I was perfect from three, they never really guarded me well. I'm not complaining though. They were double-teaming Evans and leaving me wide open. Oh, and blocking Kobe was fun."
Jason Thompson (King's Starting PF): "I realized that I am more of a defensive need for the Kings. So instead of trying to score this game, I wanted rebounds and blocks. I think I did well."

Kings Continue Dominating. Kobe Flops With Lakers Loss
What a game in Sacramento. Kings dominated the Lakers early on, and even had around a 15 point lead. However, Lamar Odom and Steve Blake carried the Lakers back into the game, and began to shut them down in the fourth. After a contested three with only 20 seconds left, Steve Blake scored to bring the Lakers tied at 86. However, Jameer Nelson pump fakes Blake out and moves to a mid-range shot, scoring the two points needed to take the lead with only 3 seconds left. Lakers with no timeouts simply gave the ball to Kobe for a full court shot, missing to give Kings the win. Here's a recap!
Lakers are now 9-6
Kings are now 10-8

Post-Game Interviews

- Lakers not only took more shots, but they made more too. 40/67 compared to the Kings 33/59
- Kings continue to be a three-point based team. 13/24 from outside with a combined 54% from three.
- 27 assists for the Kings and only 19 for the Lakers.
- Blocking show continues for three straight games. Kings get 7 to Lakers 3.
- 62 points in the paint for the Lakers, only 18 for the Kings
- 39 points from three for the Kings, and only 6 for the Lakers.
- Jameer Nelson (PG) - Got his 4th or 5th double double with the Kings. 13 assists and 14 points. Even a steal to add.
- Omri Casspi (SG) - Phenominal game. Probably the best the Kings have seen this season. 8-9 and a perfect 6-6 from deep. 22 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. BOTH BLOCKS WERE ON KOBE.
- Tyreke Evans (SF) - Great game for Tyreke. 21 points, with 3 steals and 5-9 from deep.
- Jason Thompson (PF) - A season-high 4 blocks with 6 rebounds. Great defensive game.
- DeMarcus Cousins (C) - Another slump for Cousins. Only 3 rebounds and 2 steals, with a block.
- Kobe Bryant - The Black Mamba doesn't show up for this game. 9-22 and a terrible 0-3 from deep. He couldn't get anything against Casspi or Evans. 19 points, 4 steals.
- Lamar Odom was perfect until the very end, going 8-9 with 16 points off the bench.
- Pau Gasol - Locks up a double-duble with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Lakers are now 9-6
Kings are now 10-8

Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I absolutely think the focus of our team has switched. We are shooting almost everything from three now, and we're making over half our shots. I expect most teams to be spread out trying to defend the parmeter against us. We'll be a hard team to stop."
Omri Casspi (Player Of The Game): "I'm not only thrilled to get the starting spot, but to also get Player of the Game. It means a lot to me that I could produce when my team needed me to. It just felt great."
Samuel Dalembert (King's Bench Center: 3 blocks, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal): "I was really aware this game. I knew when they were shooting, and just jumped at them. If I got the block, that was a bonus. Fun game."

New Focus For Kings Bring 3rd Straight Win
The Kings started off as a run and gun offense, weighing heavily on Evans driving to the hoop and Cousins getting open down low for the easy dunk. However, with the hiring of Alex Best and trade acquisition of James Harden and Jameer Nelson, and the continual development of Tyreke Evans as a perimeter shooter, and the blossoming of Omri Casspi and Jermaine Taylor as fantastic guards, this team as now shifted to a deep mid/three point shooting team. And they are winning games because of it. Watch:

- 14 turnovers for the Kings. Another struggle on that side of the ball.
- 10 steals for the Bucks, and more rebounds as well.
- Another superior blocking show from the Kings. 7 to 1.
- Jameer Nelson (PG) - Shot well from the field, 3-8 with 7 assists, a block, and 8 points.
- Omri Casspi (SG) - For his first player of the game award, he shot 8-12, a perfect 4-4 from three, and 20 points with a block and 4 rebounds.
- Tyreke Evans (SF) - First game in a while where Tyreke got under 20 points. Only 12 with 6 rebounds and a steal.
- Jason Thompson (PF) - Not a great offensive nor defensive game. 2 points, 3 assists, and a rebound. He was silent all game.
- DeMarcus Cousins (C) - Good show on defense. 2 blocks and a steal, with 3 rebounds and 7 points.
- Jermaine Taylor (Bench PG/SG) - Great game from the bench. 5-9 with 10 points and 3 assists, even 2 rebounds.

- Both teams scored well off the bench, 26 Kings, 22 Timberwolves
- Tyreke Evans has his best game thus far in the season. Shotting 9-12, scoring 6 rebounds, and 25 points.
- OH DID WE MENTION TYREKE WENT 6-6 FROM DEEP? That's 18 of his 25 points.
- James Harden had a fantastic game, shooting 6-11 and getting 15 points.
- DeMarcus Cousins, solid game under center. 10 points with a block and 5 rebounds.
- Jameer Nelson gets a season high 12 assists
- Thompson manages to snag 2 blocks, a steal, and 5 rebounds in his defensive effort.
- Wesley Johnson, who managed 27 points, shot only 12-25 and barely got anything else other than a block, steal, and 5 rebounds

Tyreke Evans (Player Of The Game): "We walked all over these guys. It's a shame we couldn't score more. I like the new direction we're heading in. More mid-range and 3 point shots and less jamming it down low and praying we get it."
Jermaine Taylor (King's Role Player): "I feel kinda bad for some of our starters. Mostly Cousins and Thompson. Our style has change to long-range shots, and those two aren't fitting into our offensive rythme. I mean, when I'm at point, I try to get them plays to score, but it's not what the coach wants anymore."

Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I'm glad we won, but this game almost had a coach's worst nightmare. We were up 21 at one point, and they got it within 2. I'm not sure what I would've done to our guys at practice if we had ended up losing this game."

Bobcats Winning Run Ends With Kings
A big game to boost the Kings morale. They managed to beat one of the best teams in the league at the moment after dropping a hard game to the Celtics. After a DOMINATING first quater, and a pull-ahead third, the Kings had no problem putting away the Bobcats. Let's see why:
- Kings shot 41% from deep, where the Bobcats only managed 22%.
- Kings out-assisted, and out-rebounded the Bobcats!
- This marks only the second game this season where the Kings were out-blocked, 7 to 6
- 10 fouls called against the rough Kings, where only 3 were against the Bobcats
- Tyreke Evans showed up again to carry his team, 8-14 with 6 rebounds and 17 points.
- Jermaine Taylor finally getting the spot light for the first time this season, 4-6, 2-3 from deep, and 10 points.
- James Harden making 2 fantastic blocks, yet only shooting a dismal 3-11
- Eugene Jeter bounces back with a nice third line PG play, scoring 6 points and 3 assists.
- Jameer Nelson shot 3-5, and passed well with 7 assists.
- DeMarcus Cousins continues to be a small part of the offesne, only 6 points, yet 5 rebounds and 1 block and 1 steal.
- Thompson disapeard this game. 2-5 shooting and only 4 rebounds.
- Omri Casspi got just a smidge of glory, 2-3 for 5 points and 2 rebounds.
- The best player for the Bobcats, Augustin, only shot 5-13 and got 13 points
- Two of the starting five did not score for the Bobcats.
- Where was Stephan Jackson? Only 4-14 with a steal and a block.
Bobcats are now 7-3
Kings are now 6-8

Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "You can't turn the ball over 14 times and commit more fouls than the other team and expect to win. We were winning for a while with that many turnovers, but it came and bit us in the butt."
Ray Allen (Player Of The Game): "Tyreke showed his youth and inexperience this game. I mean, his team needed him to step it up like they were, and he couldn't. The Kings were clicking very well, but a team like that needs all 5 starters on, and they only had 3 going strong."
Jameer Nelson (King's Role Player): "I'm just disappointed in this loss. I haven't seen that many steals out of a team in a very long time. They were slapping our hands all game long. We need to step up our game and start winning these close games."

Power House Celtics Take Kings By Storm.
If this game had ended 3 minutes before it actually did, the headlines would read a completely different story. Up until the fourth quater, the Kings were blocking shots, forcing bad shots, and draining everything they had. They were shooting 70% at one point WITHOUT Evans. So let's see what happened.
Immediately after the game, Coach Alex Best posted this Depth Chart. Giving Jermaine Taylor the 2nd PG spot and sliding Omri up to SG to give Wright a spot as 2nd SF, Best shows that his adjustment to the 2nd line emphasizes size and experience. With the down games Jeter has had, he moves to the third string spot

Up until the fourth quater, the Kings were blocking shots, forcing bad shots, and draining everything they had. They were shooting 70% at one point WITHOUT Evans. So let's see what happened.
- Celtics out-scored the Kings by 9 points in the fourth.
- More shots leads to more baskets, and the Celtics put up 5 more shots and made 3 more than the Kings.
- Only 4 turnovers for the Celtics compared to the Kings horrific 14.
- 13 of those turnovers were Celtic steals.
- Kings managed to have another blocking shot, blocking 7 compared to the Celtics 5.
- Tyreke Evans could not buy a basket. He shot 6-12, 2-4 from beyond the arc, and only 4 points in the first half out of his 15 overall.
- James Harden got the start at SG, and did very well. Shot 6-9, 1-2 from three, and 3 rebounds. He proves his better spot is starting at SG.
- Jameer Nelson didn't have Role Player numbers, shooting 5-9 and 3-7 from beyond the arc, with a double double (13 points, 11 assists). However, he made the threes when the Kings needed them.
- DeMarcus Cousins still in a low-scoring slump, shotting 3-5 and 8 points with 2 rebounds and 2 blocks. Shaq shut down the Kings front court.
- Omri Casspi did well off the bench, 3-4 with 7 points.
- Julian Wright shot a perfect 2-2 in his first game with the Kings.
- Samuel Dalembert was the only bench defender, getting 2 blocks.
- Where did Eugene Jeter go? 0-5 and 0-2 from beyond the arc, 6 assists.
- Ray Allen was on fire, 2-2 from three and 6-12 on the field with 18 points and 6 assists.
- Green got some good numbers despite being blocked 3 times, 6-11 shooting and 12 points.
- Kings did well to shut out Garnett, only getting 8 points and 2 steals.
Immediately after the game, Coach Alex Best posted this Depth Chart. - NBA Officials were very inconsistant. 6 fouls for Pacers and an outstanding 15 against the Kings.
- Pacers took less shots because they kept going to the foul line, 17 points from there.
- Both teams couldn't hit the three, 38%
- Pacers out-assisted, out-rebounded, and out-benched the Kings.
- Kings managed to get a small blocking edge, 3 to 2.
- Tyreke Evans didn't shoot well at all, going 5-12. Maybe Hansbrough's un-called technical contributed to it.
- DeMarcus Cousins makes a good come-back game compared to his last ones, 7-8 with 2 steals and 15 points
- Jason Thompson exploited his mismatch all game, having his first offensive success all season with 7-15, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 15 points.
- Jameer Nelson saw the floor well, 6-10 shooting, 2-4 from beyond the arc, and 5 assists for 14 points.
- Bench was too quiet for the Kings today.
- TERRIBLE game from Francisco Garcia, shooting 0-5 and only getting 2 rebounds. Coach Best was quoted by saying "His future in this organization is short if this keeps up."
- Pacers showed deperation, leaning on Danny Granger for 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 11-15 shooting.
- Dunleavy has a perfect game, shooting 4-4 and 2-2 from deep.
- Other than that, the rest of the Pacers did not have good games. Three players got right around 10 points, then everyone else disapeared.

Well there's no wonder why this team is scary. They have only lost 1 game in their season so far, only loss coming to the Pistons by 4 points. Every other game they've played, they've won by 5 points or more. They were 8-0 until the pistons. Also, LeBron James has won two player of the weeks. A powerful team that is proving they are hard to beat.

Erik Spoelstra (Heat Head Coach): "It's hard to lose when you have the best three players in the league. We work hard behind the scenes, and we truly are a family here"
Sleeper Team Award
The Golden State Warriors (5-2)
--
Some fans might shrug this team, since they're in the same division as the Lakers and the Suns. But these guys are not only 5-2, but they are perfect against their conference and even the division. They won 4-0 on the conference and 2-0 in their division. Winning inner-conference and inner-division makes the whole difference.
--
Keith Smart (Warriors Head Coach): I think the Lakers are overshadowing us because we haven't played as many games as they have. We're a bigger thread in this league than people think this year, and we look forward to proving it."
Flickering Light Award
The Houston Rockers (9-6)
--
Like the title hints at, this award goes to the team that is still running, but seems to be flickering out. The Rockets started out as the best team in the league, going 6-1 and dominating the Pistons, Raptors, Grizzles, Kings, Timberwolves, and Hawks. But recently, they've been losing a lot, dropping 5 of their last 8. Let's hope they can change directions and get back on track.
--
Rick Adelman (Rockets Head Coach): "We're just going through a tough part of our schedules. I mean we faced the Lakers, the revenge-hungry Kings, the Trail Blazers, and the come-back Pistons. When Yao gets healthy again, I expect to win a lot more."
Big Flop Award
The Utah Jazz (3-10)
--
These guys can't seem to get anything going so far in the year. They started the season out on a hard note, losing to the Nuggets, Lakers, Warriors, Pistons, Heat, Hawks, Bulls, Rockets, and Spurs. Those are solid teams that caught this young and un-organized team off guard. Some injuries have held this team back as well. With the Thundery, Mavericks, and Heat coming up, I don't see this team turning around for a while.
--
Jerry Sloan (Jazz Head Coach): "Yeah yeah, hard schedule. Bull sh*t. We need to be prepared for these teams if we want to succeed. If we get to the playoffs, we can't gripe and moan that the teams we face are too tough and accept losses."

Shepard's Awards on the NBA Standings
Scariest Team in the NBA
The Miami Heat (8-1)
--
Well there's no wonder why this team is scary. They have only lost 1 game in their season so far, only loss coming to the Pistons by 4 points. Every other game they've played, they've won by 5 points or more. They were 8-0 until the pistons. Also, LeBron James has won two player of the weeks. A powerful team that is proving they are hard to beat.

Player Reviews
- The players was asked how the league is going so far, and Head Coach Alex Best was asked to comment on the player. -
Jameer Nelson - PG (11 GP, 7 GS, 99 Points, 19 Rebounds, 70 Assists, 13 Steals, 43% FG, 53% 3PT, 100% FT)
"I'm glad I was traded to the Kings. It's a fun group of guys who know how to win. When we're all working together, it's hard to stop us. However when one of us starts slacking, it hurts the entire team."
COACH ALEX BEST: "We needed a three point shooter, and we got it out of Jameer Nelson. This man has experience behind his belt, and knows how to direct our offense. I'm glad he's at the point calling the shots."
Tyreke Evans - SG (11 GP and GS, 202 Points, 31 Rebounds, 25 Assists, 10 Steals, 8 Blocks, 54% FG, 52% 3PT, 83% FT)
"Nobody in this entire league signed up for the NBA because it's easy. No one promised any of us it would be easy. You see the good and ugly about each team, and you have to be ready for anything. It's as simple as that.
COACH ALEX BEST: "He's got a mouth on him, that's for sure. He is a little restless for how young he is. But he knows how to score, and he knows how to lead this team. He needed a few players with him to make him better, and I think we got him that. I see an all-star in him."
Francisco Garcia - SF (11 GP, 7 GS, 82 Points, 36 Rebounds, 14 Assists, 54% FG, 50% 3PT)"I mean, no matter how long you've been in this league, you always need to re-prove yourself in front of a new coach. I'm not sure I've done that yet, but I hope to make a big difference in the future of this franchise."
COACH ALEX BEST: "This kid is good, but I'm not sure where he fits in our team yet. I see him as a starter, but he needs to be a bit more consistant."
Jason Thompson - PF (11 GP and GS, 69 Points, 56 Rebounds, 16 Assists, 10 Blocks, 49% FG, 90% FT)
"I think we're doing really good so far. It's sorta a downer to not see your name in the papers, but I think I'm doing a great deal to help this team. I think we'll have a much more successful season this year compared to last year."
COACH ALEX BEST: "You know, you can't just put 5 scorers out their on the court and expect to win. You need defensive players too. Thompson is a huge defensive threat to our opponents, and I'm very happy we have him."
DeMarcus Cousins - C (11 GP and GS, 122 Points, 58 Rebounds, 9 Blocks, 64% FG, 80% FT)"This has been a really fun season so far. I mean, sure we did lose some games pretty bad, but it's no fun to win them all right? I'm enjoying my role and I'm looking forward to the rest of our season.
COACH ALEX BEST: "I don't know where we'd be without this guy as our Center. I assume probably 0-9. He knows the game well, and he knows how to score when we need it. Both an offensive and defensive threat. What an excellent addition to our team."
James Harden - 6th Man (10 GP, 8 GS, 56 Points, 26 Rebounds, 11 Assists, 38% FG, 72% FT)
"I wasn't sure how I could help this team when I was traded. But I see that I am the strength off the bench. A lot of the second string guys are young. I'm glad I can be some explosive offense."
COACH ALEX BEST: "You can't ignore this guy on defense. He's our SG, yet he snags more rebounds than some of our forwards do. I love that he's aggressive and knows how to get to the basket. Improve his shooting percentages and he'll be a huge threat"

A Message from sYn Shepard (the player!)
I like how difficult this association is going so far. I feel like I'm winning games I should win, but I'm not dominating a league that I can't dominate. That's my issue with other associations. I'm sorry, but the Pistons, Jazz, and Clippers aren't good enough teams to be going 30-0 with their basic roster.
I am trying very hard to be realistic. I do 7 minute quarters because I'll get bored if I do more. I'm trying to keep trades realistic, however the computers aren't stupid and make dumb trades. I don't do overrides, so I accept whatever trades happen. I mean, I tried to figure out a way to get Dwayne Wade, and the heat rejected EVERY player I tried to trade them. So everything is as realistic as I can make it.
As for the Kings, I like my roster. I honestly am not really happy with Francisco Garcia. I mean, he'll have one great game for every 5 bad games. And he's expensive! I'd like to trade him away for a good draft pick to free up some cap space for the free agency. I don't see him being a big help for the Kings in the future, so I'd look for him to move fairly soon. I'm also surprise at Jeter! He's a fun little guy to play as. As for everyone else, I'd say my starting 5 is pretty much locked in except for Garcia. If I manage to get to the playoffs, you'll see Nelson, Evans, Thompson, and Cousins on the floor.
Thanks for all the feedback! I hope you guys enjoy December as much as I'll enjoy playing and writing about it!

Box Score
Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "This is a hard loss for our boys. I know they wanted to finish the month better than this, but it's stepping stones. We'll be fine next month and into the rest of the season. Just need to brush this loss off and keep going."
O.J. Mayo (Player Of The Game): "That was a difficult blow-out! I mean, we had to really work for it. Typically you just play well and they don't, and you get a 15 point win. But we had to actually work hard for that win."
Tyreke Evans (King's Role Player): "I think this game proves that some teams are spending practice time doing the wrong things. I mean, they were stealing balls with their back to the passer, making shots where they couldn't even see the basket, and faking struggles to draw fouls out of us. I mean seriously, with only 5 seconds left and a 10+ point lead they were still driving at us. I don't plan on losing to this team again."
Shepard's Review
"With The D All Over!" Kings Pick Up A Loss.
That headline says it all. The Kings were all over the Grizzles shooters, and yet they still made most of their baskets. Some spectacular plays from Utah to shut this game down. When you're draining thoughts the defense think they've shut down, it makes it hard to switch to offense. Kings were thrown off balance all game.
Grizzles are now 5-4
Kings are now 5-6

- Kings haven't shot this bad since the beginning of the season. 27/66 and 40% from the field.
- 8/24 from three. 33%. Why did the Kings keep shooting from there?
- Grizzles out-assisted, out-rebounded, and out-stole the Kings.
- Kings dominate the blocks again, 3-1.
- 13 fouls for the Kings and only 5 for the Grizzles. Does the NBA need to reconsider some of their officials?
- 36 points in the paint for the grizzles, 20 for the Kings.
- Tyreke Evans, who was fouled out late in the game, shot 5-11 from three and 8-15 overall, snagging a season high 22 points and 3 rebounds.
- Garcia struggled all game long, 0-2 from three and 5-11 from the field, only gettng 10 points.
- Thompson shows he is still a defensive threat, 6 rebounds and a block.
- Cousins continues his three-game struggle with only 3-7, 8 points, and 5 rebounds. You need him playing well to win.
- Jameer Nelson also continues to struggle, only 2-4 from beyond the arc, yet snagging 10 assists.
- O.J. Mayo was a hard force to stop, 16 points.
- Battier lifted the team well, a perfect game with 4-4, 2-2 from three, and 2-2 from the line. 12 points.
Grizzles are now 5-4
Kings are now 5-6

Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "I'd like to congratulate the Minnesota Timberwolves. They really are the under-dogs of the league. They have fantastic talent and a great group of five players. It must be losses like this that they are use to, because they can keep up with any team in the league."
Francisco Garcia (Player Of The Game): "It's always nice when we have a big lead, to let our younger players get a chance to really shine. I'm glad to see Jeter put up the numbers he did. I think he's the future PG of this team. Hands down."
Tyreke Evans (King's Role Player): "I think we should've won by a lot more than we did. I mean, we were up like 19 at one point. I don't even remember how they came back and made it such a close game. All I know is that they are a bunch of loud mouths. You can yell in my ear all you want during my three point show Luke Ridnour. I will still make it."

Don't let the stat sheet fool you. This game was all Kings all game. Sure, the Timberwolves put up an impressive fourth quater to at least put the game within reach, but there was no stopping the Kings tonight. Here's a few reasons why the outcome was the way it was:
- Not only did the Timberwolves take 4 more shots than the Kings, they also missed 3 more. Bad shooting.
- 7 for 20 from beyond the arc by the Timberwolves? That's begging to lose. You can't keep missing those shots.
- Timberwolves managed to out-assist, out-rebound, and got many more offensive rebounds than the Kings.
- Kings managed to hold onto the ball, 4 turnovers compared to the Timberwolves 7.
- Fransisco Garcia got the start for the first time in about 3 games, and shows he belongs there. 9-11 shooting, 2-3 from far, and 20 points.
- Tyreke Evans also got 20 points, shooting well from outside and getitng 2 blocks.
- Eugene Jeter, officially named the team's 6th man, got 13 points, 8 assists, and a steal.
- Jameer Nelson picks up his second double-double with the Kings, 10 points and 10 assists.
- Jason Thompson still fighting to belong, getting 9 points and 2 blocks.
- Cousins goes silent for the second game in a row, only 8 points, yet 7 rebounds and a block.
- Michael Beasly shot just under 50% for the game, yet managed to snag 20 points.
- Kevin Love was heald down to only 4 points, yet managed to get 11 rebounds.
- Timberwolves were outscored every quater except the fourth. They came back from a 19 point deficit to only lose by 5.
Alex Best submits his 3rd official roster update, sliding Garcia back into a starting role.

Kobe Bryant (Player Of The Game): "This is one of those games where you just hope the other team doesn't capitalize on your mistakes. We didn't play good basketball, but luckily they didn't either. It just came down to who wanted it more."
Tyreke Evans (King's Role Player): "It's amazing. We were the better team the entire game, and yet we still lost. I guess that's just what happens when you give the ball to the only good player on your team and hope he doesn't f*** up."

Down the stretch, the Lakers got some luckly breaks, and a game-winning block against Jameer Nelson with Steve Blake sealed the deal. Let's break down today's game.
- Kings took more shots, but the lakers shot 6% better from the field.
- Lakers managed to out-assist and out-rebound the Kings, but that's about it.
- Kings out-blocked, got more steals, less turnovers, more fast break and second chance points, and shot better from three point territory only to lose.
- Tyreke Evans did a average job tonight. Shooting 6-15, yet 2-3 from beyond the arc to snag 16 points.
- Eugune Jeter and Francisco Garcia, and Omri Casspi played better than the rest of the starting roster did.
- Eugene Jeter got 7 assists, and 2 steals out of this game.
- Francisco finally had a chance to shine this game. He shot 1-1 from 3, and snagged 4 rebounds and a steal for 9 points.
- Omri Casspi showed he has some life in him, shooting a perfect 4-4.
- DeMarcus Cousins was alive on the boards, getting 7 rebounds. But his scoring was low and he didn't get a single block.
- Jason Thompson didn't do much better, only 3 rebounds and 8 points.
- Jameer Nelson did not score well. 3-8 for only 7 points. He did, however, get 2 blocks, 2 steals, and a fantastic 10 assists.
- Kobe Bryant had the worst game of his season so far. He only shot a mear 11-21 from the field, 1-5 from beyond the arc. He didn't get a SINGLE ASSIST...yet managed to score 23 points. Surprising scoring.
- Wait, let me get this straight...Pau Gasol only got 2 points? And Derek Fisher only got 4 minutes of game-time? How did the Lakers win?

Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "Basketball is a physical sport, and rivalries bring that out. We had to prevent them from easy layups and low-post moves, so we fouled them if we couldn't stop them. That's fundamental basketball. Regardless of how we did it, it feels good to pick up our 4th straight win."
Jameer Nelson (Player Of The Game): "They fought hard and were tough opponents. But we're a different team from the last time and they didn't adjust to us well. It's unfortunate to see Yao and Courtney down after this game, but they were playing hard too, and I know there is no hard feelings."
DeMarcus Cousins (King's Role Player): "I felt we were in control most of this game, and that's a great feeling to have. When Yao had to leave, it left us big men open for a lot of possibilities. I mean we saw a great game from Thompson, Dalembert, and Greene!"

I'm here to recap you on why the Kings won, and how hard the Rockets fought back.

Rocket's Rivalry Leads To Fulds, Injuries, And A Kings Win.
You can see why Arco Arena is a hard place to play. Even against one of the best teams in NBA right now, they managed to rally at home and pick up a 19 point win. A lot of hard-played basketball down their tonight, yet the Kings were able to get revenge for the early season loss and pick up a win at home. I'm here to recap you on why the Kings won, and how hard the Rockets fought back.
- The Kings took 16 more shots than the Rockets did. More chances lead to more baskets.
- 7/14 and 50% shooting from beyond the arc for the Kings. Rockets were banging their head against the wall with only 2/13 from three point territory.
- Rockets went to the line 7 more times than the Kings, and capitalized 19 points from the stripe.
- 11 turnovers for the Rockets compared to the Kings 5. They needed to hold on the basketball better.
- Rockets finally managed to snap the Kings 7-game blocking streak, outblocking them 9 to 5
- Rockets were out-assisted 21 to 12.
- DeMarcus Cousins, having another all-star game, got 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and shot 7-9 to get 16 points, the game highest scorer.
- Jameer Nelson scored another double-doubl, with 15 points and 10 assists.
- Tyreke Evans had a great first half, and stepped back in the second. 2-2 from beyond the arc to snag 11 points.
- Jason Thompson stepped up his game a little bit, grabbing a steal and shooting 4-9 for 8 points and 4 rebounds.
- James Harden is pushing to stay in the starting roster, trying to prove his worth by snagging 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 8 points.
- Eugene Jeter proving his ability as the 6th man by shooting 4-7, getting 4 assists and 9 points.
- Samuel Dalembert was able to shine without Yao against him, snagging 3-5 shooting and 3 steals, even a block to add.
- Donte Greene, with the most minutes off the bench (12), got 5 rebounds and 1 block.
- Yao didn't do enough when he was in the game, 2-2 but only 7 points.
- Scola did his best to lift his team, but fell short with only 12 points and 5-10 shooting.

Post-Game Interviews
Alex Best (King's Head Coach): "This game came down to the final quater. Who could perform better. I'm glad we could sneak the win out from under these guys, but they were draining the better looks and playing the better defense. Heck, they might have won if they never fouled us at the very end."
Jameer Nelson (Player Of The Game): "It always feels great to get a win. I felt confident out there, and my team mates really helped me out. It was a good game overall for both sides."
Tyreke Evans (Key Player for the Kings): "I can see why people THINK Andrew Bogut is a good shot blocker. He basically punches you every time you go up. I'm glad the referees didn't allow him to play dirty. This isn't football buddy, keep your hands to yourself."
Jon Ratski's Review
Bucks Break Down Before The Kings, 3rd Straight Win At Home.
Another great win by the Kings. After struggling in the first half, they managed to key some key stops and kept giving the ball to the hot hands of Jameer Nelson. Coach Best did a great job keeping fresh players on the court, and they outlasted the tired Bucks in the 4th quater. Fundamental win, with goods and bads.
- Another blocking show, 5 for the Kings.
- Bucks threw there bench out there more than their starters it seemed. 29 fron them.
- Both teams go a lot of turnovers, 17 in total.
- Bucks could not stay out of foul trouble. Bogut being the bad boy with 5 fouls, all of them shooting.
- Jameer Nelson proved that he is a great fit for this young team. 6-9, 2-3 from beyond the arc, with 7 assists and 2 steals.
- Eugene Jeter picking up some slack as well, going 5-9 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc (first game he's done that well) and 14 points.
- Tyreke Evans did well to step back and let Nelson take the spot light. 4-10 from the field.
- Thompson keeps proving why he's in the starting lineup. 3 blocks, and 5 rebounds. 10 points.
- DeMarcus Cousins also had a step-back game, only shooting 3-5, but getting 4 from the line after getting 3 fouls out of Bogut.
- James Harden did well, 1-2 from beyond the arc and throwing out 2 blocks and 4 rebounds from the SG position.
Buck are now 1-1
Kings are now 3-4
